STAR TREK - INTO DARKNESS....THE REVIEW


As sequels go, the Star Trek franchise have made many variations from  in the past. Now, the franchise takes a different course on the story, making sure that instead of measuring to it's predecessors, the "new" Star Trek made it's own standards, trying to get both the fans and beginners of the franchise a new outlook and appreciation to Star Trek.

After the success of the first movie, director J.J. Abrams brings back the Enterprise crew for another ride against an antagonist that may as well be crew's biggest challenge yet. With saucy moments, bickering among Kirk and his loyal crew as well as exposure to more of the Star Trek universe, from the Klingon home-world of Kronos to the lush planet of Nibiru as well as a more in-depth outlook on environment 23rd century Earth, Into Darkness will surface new emotions for the Enterprise crew.

Although Abrams execution on the movie did not surpass the vision Gene Roddenberry (the founder of the Star Trek franchise), it at least gave some exciting new thrills for the Trek newbies. So if you enjoy fast-paced action, quirky banter and explosions, go watch Transformers. Kidding. Enjoy the universe incorporated from Abrams. It is the Starship Enterprise and the whole gang, here again for another ride of their life.
